This session will cover employment law changes within the Employment Bill that will affect payroll from 2025/26, review the rules for Statutory Neonatal Care Leave and Pay introduced from 6 April 2025 and will consider the proposed mandatory payrolling of benefits from 6 April 2027

 

In this session Alexandra Durrant will cover the following topics:

  • Update on Employment Bill – key points relating to payroll
  • Statutory Neonatal Care Leave and Pay NEW from 6 April 2025
  • Mandatory Payrolling of Benefits in Kind from April 2027
  • Other topics may be added

 

By attending this session, you will have a better understanding of the changes in law relating to payroll likely to be in force from the new tax year.

 

This session will be relevant to general practitioners and their staff, general practitioners as employers, employees of companies with responsibility for payroll and related matters, accountants working in practice or business and to those individuals working in payroll whether for an accountancy practice or in business. It will also be useful for those working in the HR area.

Alexandra Durrant

Alexandra Durrant is a chartered accountant and trainer. Until very recently she ran a practice in East Grinstead, providing audit, tax and accounting services to clients including payroll services and payroll/NIC advice. She is now focusing her time on training and consultancy through Aspiring Training Limited.

Alexandra has been involved in training since 1993 and regularly lectures to accounting practices and for training organisations. Her lectures cover payroll, national insurance and related employment issues as well as on benefits and expenses and forms P11D
