Course Details

The Employment Rights Bill is the biggest change to employment law for a generation. 28 different areas of law are changing, and this has big implications for all employers. Since the Bill was released in October 2024 there have been several amendments, but we do now have the government’s plan of when it will come into force. The implementation will be in several stages, from when the Bill gets Royal Assent up to the 2027. All employers need to know what is happening when, to ensure that they make the changes needed to their practices to be compliant with the changes in the law.

In this session Professor Kathy Daniels will cover the following topics:

  • The background to the Bill, and what is changing
  • A ‘walk through’ of the implementation plan, explaining what is changing when
  • A guide to what consultations the government will now be engaging in
  • Guidance on what employers need to do to prepare
  • Everything else that the government plans to change, which is not contained in the Bill

By attending this session, you will learn all that is covered in the Employment Rights Bill, and what you need to do to prepare your organisation as it is implemented.

This session will be essential listening for business owners, and anyone advising businesses on issues relating to employment.
