Forget AI chatbots, the landscape has moved far beyond that. During this session, attendees will see real examples of what is now possible, from AI agents carrying out tasks autonomously to practical accounting and business use cases already emerging in the market.

We will also explore a mini project I have been building, how I made it, and why I believe this represents one of the next major stepping stones for accountants and advisory firms, but also brings a new wave of issues that no one is really talking about yet.

AI is rapidly reshaping the accounting profession, moving from future talking points into commercial reality. Clients are increasingly expecting accountants to understand how AI can improve efficiency, insight, communication, and advisory services. However, many accountants still feel overwhelmed by the pace of change, alongside the practical opportunities and risks involved.

This session is designed as a recap of the huge advancements we have seen over the last 3 to 6 months, which in AI terms feels like a lifetime. The technology is evolving at an incredible pace, and there is so much to get through!

Ben Brophy will cover the following topics during this webinar:

  • The current AI landscape within accounting and why the profession is rapidly changing over even over the last 3 months.
  • Practical AI use cases accountants are already using today across compliance, advisory, communication, and operations.
  • The new playground for AI accountants to explore for AI tools, workflows, and automation capabilities
  • New risks, limitations, ethics, and the importance of human oversight with the latest advancements.
  • The future accountant: how AI may reshape roles, and create new ones within the profession but also may leads us astray.

By the end of these sessions, delegates will:

  • Have a better understanding the current AI landscape and why it is becoming increasingly important within accounting.
  • Learn practical examples of how AI is already being used within firms and businesses today.
  • Be able to identify opportunities to improve efficiency, communication, and advisory services using AI tools.
  • Gain awareness of the risks, limitations, and ethical considerations surrounding the new wave of AI adoption.

This session will be particularly relevant for:

  • Accountants in practice, Industry accountants and finance professionals
  • Firm owners and partners as well as those interest in AI or AI champions.
  • Businesses wanting to better understand how accountants may leverage AI technology
