All UK limited companies and their professional advisers are getting to grips with the first wave of changes now in force from 4 March and 1 and 2 May 2024 - major changes to the Companies Act, and to the role and powers of Companies House – brought in under Part 1 of the Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Act 2023.
As well as providing an essential update for accountants at all levels in private practice, this course will also discuss the management, commercial and marketing opportunities and issues for their firms arising from the changes already in force, and from the major changes still in the pipeline.
It will highlight where the new Act requires a party line from all in the practice when advising clients on the changes, the steps firms are taking internally to take best advantage of the new rules commercially, including exploiting the marketing and new service opportunities it creates, all the while taking into account the potential risks of available courses of action.
David Impey covers the following topics during this course:
- The law in force now
- What to do about it – opportunities and issues
- The important changes still to come
- Key opportunities and challenges to consider now
- Planning for decisions you’ll need to make later
