Course Details

When referring a client to a solicitor, it is essential that we present their details in a formalised manner. This ensures the solicitor can rely on the information, saving time for everyone involved—and reducing onboarding costs for your client.

Solicitors are regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority, which is actively fining firms for AML non-compliance.

Whether you're in the back office or a front line accountant instructing a solicitor for legal services, this webinar is a must-attend.

In this webinar Paul Wilkinson and Lana Velkov will cover the following topics:

1. Reliance on a Third Party may be permitted

2. Referral must be in writing

3. Timely access to evidence supporting CDD

4. Retention of Liability

5. Risk-Based Approach

By attending this session, you will understand the AML requirements that a lawyer must fulfil to onboard a client meeting SRA and MLR regulations.

Course level: Intermediate
