Course Details

Payrolling of most benefits in kind means fewer P11Ds to be completed and filed each year. This should result in a reduction in time costs, after initial set up, for accountants undertaking this work.  HMRC have advised that payrolling of benefits will be mandatory from April 2026 so it is important for accountants to understand how payrolling works. The benefit of purchasing the course is to be able to explain to clients the pros and cons of payrolling benefits. The client can then advise their employees how payrolling will affect their pay.  A further benefit is that the number of tax code changes in the tax year should be reduced.

Alexandra Durrant covers the following topics during this course:

  • How and when to register for payrolling of benefits
  • What benefits can be payrolled and the effect on employees
  • How to calculate the benefit to be payrolled
  • Problem areas
  • Mandatory payrolling??
