Course Details

This session doesn’t focus on using AI tools for accounting. Instead, it explores how AI supports investigations after the fact and once something has gone wrong.

We look at how AI is used in fraud investigations, data breaches, and regulatory inquiries, helping teams uncover what happened, who was involved, and how to respond. Expect practical examples of tools and techniques like natural language processing, anomaly detection, and entity resolution, alongside a discussion of the ethical considerations that come with using AI in sensitive, high-stakes contexts.

In this course Harry Trick covers the following topics:

  • How AI supports post-incident investigations, including fraud, data breaches, and regulatory inquiries
  • Techniques like natural language processing, anomaly detection, and entity resolution
  • Using AI to surface hidden patterns and relationships in large, unstructured datasets
  • The role of human oversight in interpreting AI-driven insights
  • Ethical considerations around bias, privacy, and transparency in investigative contexts
