Course Details

This short course is for those wanting to get started in the world of coding with the Python Language.  With vast data sources, data analysis and manipulation is now common in business. This course gets you started by understanding what software is needed, how to start and how to leverage artificial intelligence tools to get you coding quickly. 

 

This course will introduce you to Python coding using the Anaconda Navigator (https://www.anaconda.com/products/navigator), which includes Spyder (http://spyder-ide.org/ ). 


The following topics will be covered.


• What are Python and Anaconda

• Installing Anaconda 

• Familiarising with Spyder – Anaconda’s built in Python coding environment

• Installing Plug-ins

• Some basic coding with examples and using off-the-shelf AI tools to help you. Includes basic input prompting.

• Running code and saving results.

Coding examples will be included with the presentation slides. 

 

On completion of this course you will be able install and use Python, and have basic skills to experiment with building your own code.
