This session demonstrates how ChatGPT can support your analysis and reporting workflows in Excel. From summarising datasets and identifying trends, to creating charts and drafting commentary, ChatGPT helps you move from raw data to meaningful insights faster. You’ll see how ChatGPT enhances — not replaces — key Excel tools such as PivotTables, charts, and dynamic arrays.

 

In this session Alan Murray will cover the following topics: 

  • Using ChatGPT to interpret or summarise datasets.
  • Drafting report commentary, explanations, and client-friendly insights.
  • Guiding deeper analysis — variance, trends, outliers, categories.
  • Creating and modifying charts with ChatGPT.
  • Combining ChatGPT with Excel features such as PivotTables and dynamic arrays.
