This short webinar provides a clear and practical introduction to writing Excel formulas. It focuses on building a strong understanding of how formulas work to give you the confidence to write, adapt, and troubleshoot formulas.

 

In this session Alan Murray will cover the following topics:

  • Writing basic formulas to add, subtract, multiply, and divide values in Excel.
  • Calculating percentages correctly and understanding common percentage pitfalls.
  • Using essential Excel functions such as SUM, COUNT, AVERAGE, and related functions.
  • Understanding and using relative, absolute, and trimmed references.
  • How to effectively reference data across worksheets, named ranges, and tables.
