The reforms in the Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Act 2023 aim to improve the accuracy of Companies House data, strengthening the UK's reputation as a place where legitimate business can thrive, while driving dirty money out of the UK. The reforms represent the most extensive enhancement to Companies House’s powers since its inception, whilst significantly extending its role. This course sets out these changes in detail so offering an opportunity for attendees to acquire an in-depth understanding of the implications for their roles.

Companies House - Senior Policy Adviser (Accounting and Reporting)

Claire Jenkins MSc, FCCA

Claire is a Senior Policy Adviser with responsibility for Accounts and Reporting at Companies House, the UK’s Company Registry. She joined the Civil Service after working in a wide range of businesses, ranging from SME’s to global multi-nationals. Previous roles have seen Claire working in corporate business recovery as well as specialising in Tax and VAT work. This gives her wide-ranging insight into business and accounts as a whole.

She is a qualified Accountant and holds a MSc in Forensic Accounting and has been recognised at the Tackling Economic Crime Awards for her work against financial crime. She now brings this wealth of knowledge into the Policy space where her work is focused on Accounts and Reporting within Companies House.
