Course Details

The ECCTA has been in force since October 2023, bringing a series of changes to the Companies Act 2006 and to the roles, responsibilities and operations of Companies House.

The focus of this webinar will be on the upcoming ID verification requirements for directors and people with significant control, which will become mandatory later this year, and the associated introduction of Authorised Corporate Service Providers. We will look at how accountants can prepare for the new requirements, both for their own practices and in order to assist their clients.

The webinar will also include a reminder of the other key changes being implemented, along with the expected timelines, and a review of the changes to size thresholds effective from April 2025.

In this session Claire Thomson will cover the following topics:

  • ID verification requirements – who is impacted, and how to prepare
  • Authorised corporate service provider status, and what this means for accountants
  • The timeline of implementation
  • Other changes the ECCTA is bringing
  • Changes to UK company size thresholds

By attending this session, you will be equipped for the forthcoming changes, and able to discuss these with clients, assisting them with preparation and implementation. It will also equip accountants to make decisions regarding registration as an Authorised Corporate Service Provider.

The session will be tailored at accountants and corporate compliance service providers who work with entities incorporated in the UK.
