In this session, Chris White speaks about making you safer by raising your awareness of cybercrime.  Why should you attend this forum?  Half of Small Businesses were targeted by hackers in 2021.  The key issue being no one is immune from Cyber Attack’s, but the impact is considerable for a small business, with the average bill for each attack being £3,080.

Taking part in the UKGov backed Cyber Essentials scheme is a good starting point as can drive commercial benefits as those businesses who meet the scheme's requirements will have a more reassuring story to tell customers.  Some clients are making certification a requirement for their suppliers, UKGov already insists on this for certain public sector contracts.

Currently it makes complete business sense to invest in your Cyber Security to reduce the risk as there's a high likelihood of a Cyber Incident happening.

By viewing this session, you will:

  • Understand the risks associated with cyber crime
  • Recognize best practice
  • Understand the measures to take in response to cyber crime
  • Be aware of how to prevent an incident and protect yourself
