Course Details

The course is designed for practitioners advising owner managed businesses (excluding transfers to trusts) of the capital gains business asset disposal relief (BADR) and gift relief conditions, how to claim the relief, looking at practical issues and careful planning interactions between BADR and gift relief.

This is not a common area for small to medium sized practices, so the course is aimed at those who wish to either recap the reliefs and is also suitable for those who are less familiar especially in view of the pending budget.

In this webinar Philip Dolman will cover the following topics,

  • BADR conditions with examples
  • Practical issues of BADR
  • Gift relief conditions and examples
  • Practical issues of gift relief
  • Interaction between BADR, Gift relief and Inheritance tax

At the end of the course, you should be able to identify the reliefs for clients, know how to make claims with HMRC and consider planning opportunities when advising clients

This webinar will be of interest to Tax Advisors and those in general practice

Course level: Intermediate
