This session will also cover the latest employment tax developments, including changes to rates and thresholds. We will look at the recent changes to the taxation of benefits in kind, including the simplification of rules for certain reimbursed expenses and changes to tax relief for homeworkers.

Autumn Murphy

Autumn has a particular focus on VAT and owner managed businesses, including areas such as Research & Development, and Making Tax Digital. She trained as a Chartered Certified Accountant while working in both UK and Guernsey tax compliance roles. After returning to the UK in 2021, she moved into advisory work, supporting OMBs across a wide range of tax issues. Before joining the ATT as a Technical Officer in March 2025, she worked as a tax writer and adviser, developing practical guidance and supporting accountants with tax queries.

Chris Campbell

Chris has a particular focus on Owner Managed Business taxes, Making Tax Digital, Corporation Tax, Employment Taxes and Scottish Taxes. He is a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Tax Adviser, as well as a member of the ATT, and initially had a career in tax practice spanning 20 years. Immediately prior to joining the ATT as a Technical Officer in May 2025, Chris previously served as Head of Tax (Tax Practice and Owner Managed Business Taxes) at ICAS.
