LinkedIn is one of the most effective (and under-used) marketing tools available to Bookkeepers. It’s often described as ‘Facebook for grown-up businesses’. It’s a place where professionals connect, build trust and recommend each other.

However, many Bookkeepers feel unsure about how to use LinkedIn properly. Do you worry about sounding ‘salesy’? Or are you just not sure where to start? As a result, you could be missing out on referrals, visibility and opportunities to build relationships with the right clients.

In this practical course, Chantal Cornelius from Appletree Marketing will show you how to use a simple ABC approach to LinkedIn. You’ll learn how to raise your profile, strengthen relationships and gently attract new clients. All in a way that feels natural, professional and achievable alongside a busy practice.

In this course Chantal Cornelius covers the following topics:

  • A – Ask: How to ask for (and give) LinkedIn recommendations in a natural way
  • B – Business Network: Using your profile to build credibility and connect with prospects
  • C – Content: What to post, how often and why it matters
  • Profile checklist – what do you need on your profile?
  • Common mistakes: What Bookkeepers get wrong on LinkedIn and how to avoid it.

Chantal Cornelius

Chantal Cornelius left the corporate world in 2000 to set up Appletree Marketing. It was the second best decision she’s ever made. Since then, she’s filled her time helping hundreds of service businesses, including accountancy firms, to grow their businesses. Her marketing advice is straight forward, practical and down to earth. She’s written three books and the third one all about StandOut Strategies – how to really outshine your competitors – was published in October 2024. Chantal is a Fellow of the PSA UK where she was National President for 2023-24. When she’s not speaking, training or handing out marketing advice, you’ll find her riding her horse, growing vegetables in her garden, or whizzing down a ski slope – but not all at the same time!
